Integrated Community Based Resilience and Livelihood Support to the effected in J & K.

 In 2003,the J&K Yateem Trust forged a partnership on area specific and yearly basis with Action Aid International.The Trust presently in collaboration with Action Aid Internationalis working on Mental Health, livelihood and Rehabilitation programmes in Tangmarg and Kandi Block of BaramullahDistrict, Sogam Block of KupwaraDistrictand Keller block of Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir.The ongoing Turmoil from the past 20 years in Kashmir has resulted in increasing numbers of stress and post Traumatic stress disorders for whom in Kashmir there is only one psychiatric hospital and people are reluctant to go there because of stigma attached to the hospital. Both the organizations worked at community level to address these issues. During the year 2011-12, 684 people were identified and counseledhaving psychosocialproblems. The Trust also facilitated the linkage between the community and the government to avail the benefits of the government schemes by the community. 355 beneficiaries have been linked with the government schemes in the target areas under this project.09 Medical camps were organized in the Project areas benefiting 2000 people in the form of free consultations and medicines. 89 families were provided the livelihood support. The Trust also runs 06Vocational Training Centers under this project in the project Areas
